Update for Prince Rupert Free Rescue Potatoes from Tea Creek Farm

Where: Lax Kw’alaams Hall Parking Lot Across from Save on Foods in Prince Rupert

Time: 10:30AM-12:00PM and 1:00PM-3:00PM
Please bring a bag to carry your potatoes

Tea Creek is coordinating a distribution of 60,000 lbs of donated Food Rescue Potatoes from an organization called Second Harvest from the lower mainland.

Tea Creek is a regional Food Hub for our Northern Indigenous Communities and this is one of their first “food rescue” missions.

They have set aside one 2500-pound bag of potatoes for Gitxsan, Tsimshian, Nis’ga, Wet’su’wet’en and Haisla communities. We have requested two 2500lb bags.
