To the membership of Lax Kw’alaams:

Enclosed is the August 22, 2025 Band Council Resolution (BCR) rescinding what was an illegal removal of the Mayor on August 18, 2025. The removal did not have validity to begin with, and the procedure that followed was flawed in many ways.

There is misinformation circulating, as a result and we want to set it straight.

First, I have not stolen from the school or the Band, and I have done nothing wrong or improper.

At the council table, there are individuals with an agenda who appear to want to sow division and create chaos. When this happens, we all lose.

I am the duly elected Mayor of this community. I have engaged in no impropriety, and I intend to continue to serve my community until the end of my term.
