Please be advised the Spirit of Lax Kw’alaams (MV Nichola) has arrived in Victoria and is now dry-docked.

The Spirit of Lax Kw’alaams (MV Nichola) is now dry-docked in Victoria. Technicians have removed the propeller and completed an initial inspection. The propeller is currently on its way to Osborne Propellers in Vancouver for a specialist assessment.

On Friday, September 25, we will receive an assessment report which will tell us if the propeller can be repaired or needs to be replaced.

In the meantime, community transportation will continue using the barge and water taxi.

There is no morning barge service on Wednesdays.
