The Spirit of Lax Kw’alaams has found an engine issue today, and will not be in service for the rest of the day. A barge and water taxi will run in lieu of today’s afternoon sailing.

Departure times and location – barge and water taxi:

Amix group Terminal: 4pm
Tuck Inlet: 6pm

Amix Group Terminal barge is located at the end of Mish Aw Road (in the Prince Rupert industrial site). Vehicle passengers will load their vehicle here to the barge, and travel by water taxi, due to Transport Canada limitations. Ferry passengers can expect to pay regular ferry fares on May 19.

The crew is currently assessing the engine issue. We will update travellers as soon as possible about tomorrow’s ferry service for Monday May 20, 2024.
