Lax Kw'alaams Ferry|

The Spirit of Lax Kw’alaams is still waiting on the delivery of an engine part, and will not be in service Friday May 24, 2024. A barge and water taxi will run in lieu of the previously scheduled sailings. To improve accessibility, the water taxi has added a second stop to pick up foot passengers at Gat Leedm Dock.

Departure times and locations:

Morning:

7am Amix Group Terminal – Drop off vehicles to barge, vehicle passengers board water taxi
7:20am Gat Leedm Dock – Ferry fares collected. Foot passengers board water taxi
8:30am Tuck Inlet – All vehicles and passengers arrive to Tuck Inlet

9am Tuck Inlet – Drop off vehicles to barge, vehicle and foot passengers board water taxi
9:45am Gat Leedm Dock – Ferry fares collected. Foot passengers disembark water taxi
10:30am Amix Group Terminal – All vehicles and vehicle passengers arrive to Amix Group Terminal

Afternoon:

4pm Amix Group Terminal – Drop off vehicles to barge, vehicle passengers board water taxi
4:20pm Gat Leedm Dock – Ferry fares collected. Foot passengers board water taxi
5:30pm Tuck Inlet – All vehicles and passengers arrive to Tuck Inlet

6pm Tuck Inlet – Drop off vehicles to barge, vehicle and foot passengers board water taxi
6:45pm Gat Leedm Dock – Ferry fares collected. Foot passengers disembark water taxi.
7:30pm Amix Group Terminal – All vehicles and vehicle passengers arrive to Amix Group Terminal

Amix Group Terminal barge is located at the end of Mish Aw Road, in the Prince Rupert industrial site. Vehicle passengers will load their vehicle to the barge, and travel by water taxi.

Gat Leedm Dock is located at 90 Charlie Currie Road near Cow Bay. Foot passengers may board the water taxi at either Amix Group Terminal (with vehicle passengers) or at Gat Leedm Dock. The ramp at the Gat Leedm Dock is more accommodating for travellers with accessibility needs.

Due to space limitations, all passengers, including foot passengers, must make a reservation in advance by calling 250-625-2445. Regular ferry fares apply when travelling on the barge and water taxi.

The crew will continue to update travelers about future ferry services. The crew of the Spirit of Lax Kw’alaams apologizes for the inconvenience for passengers.
