To help reduce bear activity and protect eagles in the community, a designated tote has been placed beside the Maintenance Building parking lot for salmon carcasses from the Food Fish Program.

Members who are able to transport their salmon carcasses are asked to place them in the designated tote. The tote will be emptied daily.

Please do not leave salmon carcasses on the beaches or elsewhere in the community. Improper disposal attracts bears and causes eagles to gather near the helipad and Hydro wires, creating serious safety risks. If you are unable to drop off your salmon carcasses, please contact the Maintenance Yard to arrange collection:
