Reminder: Proper Waste Disposal

The large garbage bins on the causeway are reserved for industrial waste generated by renovations and other work in the housing and infrastructure departments.

Please do not dispose of your household waste at this location as this attracts birds and other animals, often resulting in spreading waste to the surrounding grounds and water. It also fills bins allocated for insulation, drywall, plastics, etc. with waste that can be accepted at the community transfer station.

For your convenience, curbside garbage collection happens bi-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. Wednesday is recycling day. The transfer station is open daily, Monday to Friday, between 0830 – 1200h and 1300 – 1630h to accept waste that requires disposal outside of the weekly pick-up schedule.
