Lax Kw’alaams Health has received an influx of calls regarding patient travel. Lax Kw’alaams Health coordinates travel from Lax Kw’alaams to Prince Rupert, while Prince Rupert Aboriginal Community Services (PRACS) coordinates travel for Prince Rupert and beyond.
For Lax Kw’alaams members living in Lax Kw’alaams:
- you may access patient travel by contacting Lax Kw’alaams Health at 250-625-3397
- patient travel at Lax Kw’alaams Health only coordinates travel from Lax Kw’alaams to Prince Rupert (return)
- for travel beyond Prince Rupert, please contact Prince Rupert Aboriginal CommunityServices at 1-888-624-5504
- please provide a minimum of 5 days advance notice before your scheduled appointment
- Lax Kw’alaams Health administers patient travel for members living in Lax Kw’alaams only
For Lax Kw’alaams members living outside of Lax Kw’alaams:
- you may access patient travel by contacting Prince Rupert Aboriginal Community Services in Prince Rupert at 1-888-624-5504
- PRACS coordinates travel for Prince Rupert and beyond
- PRACS is located at 265-309 2nd Ave West in Prince Rupert – in the Ocean Centre Mall at the corner of 2nd West and 2nd Street
