Notice to Lax Kw’alaams

Re: Water Quality Advisory

This notice is to inform the community that for those of you who are experiencing discoloration of your water to not be alarmed as it has no health effects.

On March 11th 2024 the Lax Kw’alaams water treatment process was ineffective due to rapid creek quality change that happened when the operator was off shift.

Today, the operators will be performing hydrant flushing throughout the community.

Community members are urged to flush their toilets(x4), run their taps for 10 minutes or until clear.
