The below notice was sent to the Lax Kw’alaams Band office.
Notice is herby given that Small Craft Harbours of 200-401 Burrard Street, Vancouver B.C. V6C 3S4 intends on the 11th day of October 2019 to apply to Environment and Climate Change Canada for a Disposal at Sea Permit under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, to load 6,800 m3 of dredged sediment material at load site Port Simpson Small Craft Harbours Entrance Channel (54.561364°, -130.429957°) to dispose of at sea at Tsimpsean Peninsula (54.578670°, -130.440289°) by the following method clamshell dredge and towed scow. Dredging activities are planned to maintain access to the Port Simpson Small Craft Harbour.
It is proposed that loading and disposal activities will begin on December 14, 2020 and will terminate on December 13, 2021.
