On February 12, the Lax Kw’alaams Truth and Reconciliation team, along with the ‘Namgis Residential School team, visited Metlakatla to see the progress of the Miller Bay monument carving.
The teams visited with ts’msyen Gitlaan artist Mike Epp for the update.
The monument will be an important step in reflecting on and acknowledging the history of Miller Bay Hospital and those who were impacted.
