Skateboard Youth Survey Summary

In February 2022, the Lax Kw’alaams Band asked youth aged 10 to 30 to complete a survey to inform the Physical Development Plan (PDP) update. The survey was available on-line and in paper form and the results are summarized in the following document.

The survey was completed over 2 weeks and received 119 responses: 107 from youth 10-30, 11 from individuals over 30, and one response from a youth under 10. This analysis focuses on youth responses but includes the perspectives of individuals over 30 with regard to skatepark design.

The survey included 5 questions regarding the proposed skatepark which is currently in the planning stages. The questions were supplied by the Lax Kw’alaams Business Development Corporation.

We would like to thank all members who participated in the survey which provided us with invaluable information.
