Lax Kw’alaams Band is having a referendum on proposed changes to the Lax Kw’alaams Custom Election Code. Ballots have been mailed out to registered Band members most current addresses left on file. If you have not received a physical ballot, you may also vote in person at the referendum locations noted below on July 18, 2019. To all Lax Kw’alaams members who have attained the age of eighteen (18) years or older, please be advised that you are eligible to vote in referendums whether you live on or off reserve. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are on the list of voters and request a mail in ballot voting package if you intend to vote by mail. Please be advised that a Referendum Vote has been called pursuant to and in accordance with the Lax Kw’alaams First Nation Election Regulations (2011).
You may vote in this referendum in person at a polling location, by mail in ballot or electronically. To vote electronically please read the voting instruction provided in your voting package.
