Notice is hereby given that the Lax Kw’alaams Band has called an Election in accordance with the Lax Kw’alaams Band Election Regulations (2023), for the purpose of electing Twelve (12) Members of Council and One (1) Mayor on November 21, 2023, for the next four (4) year term.

From NOVEMBER 7 at 9:00 AM until NOVEMBER 21 at 8:00 PM (PST)
Visit the link below and click the RED button “Sign Up” or “Vote Now”. Follow the instructions
provided. You will be required to provide your Registry Number (Status Card, starts with 674…),
Date of Birth, and a personal email address (only one member can vote per email address). Please
contact the Ratification Officer immediately if you require any assistance (see bottom of this

VOTE BY MAIL-IN BALLOT
If you wish to vote by Mail-in Ballot, you must complete a Mail-In Ballot Request Form and send
it to the Electoral Officer by mail or e-mail. When you submit the Mail-In Ballot Request Form
you must also include proof of identity, such as a copy of your Certificate of Indian Status,
Driver’s License, Health Card, or Birth certificate. DO NOT PROVIDE THE ORIGINAL
IDENTIFICATION – ONLY A COPY.

The Count will take place at the Lax Kw’alaams Elders Lodge on November 22, 2023, at 9:30AM.
The Voter’s List is posted for review at the Lax Kw’alaams Band Office.
