Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Building Maintenance Worker (On-Call) to support the day-to-day operations and upkeep of our property. This hands-on role is ideal for someone comfortable with minor repairs, responsive to service requests, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance & Repairs
- • Perform routine inspections of building systems
- • Address minor issues related to heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems
Facility Upkeep
- • Complete basic repairs such as painting and drywall patching
- • Install and replace lighting fixtures
- • Replace air filters and assist with general maintenance tasks
- • Test, inspect and replace smoke alarms and batteries as needed to ensure compliance and safety
Exterior Maintenance
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and entrances
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas
• assist with general exterior upkeep
Waste Management
- • Move garbage and recycling bins to designated pick-up areas
- • Return bins to storage areas after collection
Ideal Candidate
- • Dependable and self-motivated
- • Comfortable with hands-on maintenance work
- • Able to respond to on-call requests as needed
- • Basic knowledge of building systems is an asset
- • And any other duties as assigned
