Asset Management Coordinator (Full-Time)
Business Unit: Maintenance Department
Location: Lax Kw’alaams, British Columbia
Reporting to: Infrastructure Director or Designate
The Lax Kw’alaams Maintenance Department has an exciting and immediate opening for a Full-Time Asset and Maintenance Coordinator. As a key member of the team, this role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and coordination of the organization’s asset management program. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate asset inventories, conducting condition assessments, supporting lifecycle planning, ensuring data integrity, preparing reports, and assisting with compliance activities to support effective maintenance operations and long-term asset sustainability.
Responsibilities:
General
- ▪ Maintain and update asset inventories, databases, and asset management systems
- ▪ Collect, verify, and maintain asset information, including location, condition, age, maintenance history, and lifecycle requirements
- ▪ Assist with asset condition assessments, inspections, and documentation
- ▪ Support the development of asset lifecycle plans, maintenance strategies, renewal priorities, and replacement forecasts
- ▪ Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, correspondence, and other documentation as required
- ▪ Maintain accurate filing systems, records, and departmental documentation
- ▪ Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items
- ▪ Provide administrative support to the Maintenance Management Team, including calendar coordination, document preparation, and follow-up on assigned tasks
- ▪ Monitor and update asset management data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- ▪ Support preventive maintenance planning and tracking activities
- ▪ Prepare summaries, status updates, and performance reports for management review
- ▪ Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and asset management practices
- ▪ Provide general office and operational support to the Maintenance Department as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- ▪ Grade 12 diploma required
- ▪ Post-secondary education in asset management, administration, facilities management, business administration, or a related field is an asset
- ▪ Willingness to participate in employer-provided training and professional development to enhance knowledge, skills, and effectiveness in the role
Experience
- ▪ Experience in asset management, maintenance coordination, administration, or office support roles is an asset.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
Physical Demand
- ▪ Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer, including frequent use of phone and office equipment
- ▪ Occasional travel to other work sites, including active construction sites, unfinished buildings, and other departmental locations, which may require walking on uneven surfaces and navigating environments under construction.
Mental Demands
- ▪ Ability to manage several tasks and responsibilities at one time and must be prepared to deal with emergencies and stressful situations at any time

Classification/Pay Scale
- ▪ $32.30
