The upgrade to the Lax Kw’alaams internet has been successful; internet speed is 4x faster.

• The Lax Kw’alaams Band will be monitoring the internet usage for 1 month then Council will be evaluating the internet usage and will come up with a proposed package for internet rates.

There has been internet outages that are not related to the upgrade which has affected certain areas of the community.

• Amplifiers will be replaced which will prevent future outages

• The Lax Kw’alaams Band will be providing the community with 1 week of free internet.
