About 400 people turned out March 10 to celebrate the community’s Intermediate Men’s team’s third straight All Native Basketball Tournament championship.
The event took place at the Reg Sampson gym in Lax Kw’alaams and included a meal, cake, and gifts for the players, coaches and managers. Also, the Lax Kw’alaams Tribal Dancers performed and a Powerpoint presentation showed tourney highlights. This was all preceded by a parade through the community.
Once again, congratulations to Strike Force, whose three-year run has been without a single loss!
