Free Rescue Potatoes from Tea Creek Farm

When: Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 6:30-8:30PM Friday, July 4 from 9:00AM-11:00AM and 1:00-3:00PM Please bring a bag to carry your potatoes

Tea Creek is coordinating a distribution of 60,000 lbs of donated Food Rescue Potatoes from an organization called Second Harvest from the lower mainland.

Tea Creek is a regional Food Hub for our Northern Indigenous Communities and this is one of their first “food rescue” missions.

They have set aside one 2500 pound bag of potatoes for Gitxsan, Tsimshian, Nis’ga, Wet’su’wet’en and Haisla communities. We have requested two 2500lb bags.

The remaining potatoes will be brought to Prince Rupert Tuesday, July 8th and distributed to membership. Please watch for updates on the location and times.
