The Lax Kw’alaams Band has an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Family Care Worker. Under the Health Director’s direct supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for advocating for the Band’s children by providing family and child support to members to create a healthy community to raise children.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wages will be $24.00 – $28.00 hourly wage, depending on experience.
- This is a Bargaining Unit position and is open to male and female applicants.
Substance Use / Mental Wellness Worker
The Lax Kw’alaams Band has an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Substance Use / Mental Wellness Worker. Under the Health Director’s direct supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, facilitating, and implementing a program to promote a healthy drug and alcohol addiction-free lifestyle for Lax Kw’alaams community members.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wages will be $28.00 – $34.00 hourly wage, depending on experience.

Community Health Representative Assistant
The Lax Kw’alaams Band has an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Community Health Representative Assistant. Under the Director of In Home and Community Care’s direct supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with ordering and planning of events and programs.

Uks-Baask Reconciliation Communication Coordinator
The Lax Kw’alaams Band has an immediate opening for a full-time Uks-Baask Reconciliation Communication Coordinator. The successful candidate will be a dedicated individual that will assist in distributing information about Reconciliation related activities among our membership, hereditary leaders, the broader public, and other relevant groups.
Note: This is a 1-year fixed term contract with an opportunity to extend this term after 1-year, depending on available funding.
The Lax Kw’alaams Band has an immediate opening for a casual and on-call Custodian. Reporting to the Health Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all Lax Kw’alaams Health Centre areas and/or assigned. The incumbent is expected to be self-motivated, self-directed, and take the initiative in the tasks that need to be completed in a timely manner.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wages will be $15.50/hour.
- This is not a Bargaining Unit position.
