An ISC team will intake applications for a Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS) and birth registration.

*Arrival before 2:00 pm is highly recommended for walk-ins
- You must already be registered and have a 10-digit registration number for SCIS applications.
- Bring a valid ID (not expired), such as a driver’s license, provincial ID, or a health care card.
- If your ID name differs from the name on the birth certificate, bring a government-issued name-linking document, such as an amended birth certificate, marriage certificate, legal name change certificate, or court order.
- Bring long form birth certificate with parental information and 2 passport style photos for registration. Bring all custody papers, if any.
- Photos will be taken for SCIS applications for already registered persons.
- There is no fee.
- A Temporary Confirmation of Registration Document (TCRD) is available for those who cannot attend in person. Write to [email protected] with “TCRD Request” as the subject and include your full name and phone number. The document will be mailed once your identity has been verified over the phone.
