Notice of Referendum on April 9, 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Lax Kw’alaams First Nation has called a referendum seeking 60% of member voters to approve and implement the proposed Da’ax Kw’alaams Man-Ayaawx Constitution of the Lax Kw’alaams First Nation, in accordance with Lax Kw’alaams inherent right to self-determination and self-government. Please see www.laxkwalaams.ca for a copy of the Constitution.

Constitution Referendum Forum information and link to the voting platform will be made available to members at www.laxkwalaams.ca by March 12, 2025. Registration for online voting will be open on March 12, 2025 and close until April 3, 2025, and online voting begins at 7:00 AM on April 4, 2025 and closes at 9:00 PM on April 9, 2025.
