Brighter Futures Lax Kw’alaams supports the well-being of children, individuals and families, with a focus on youth ages 7-29.
Brighter Futures activities support:
- Community mental health;
- Social development;
- Cultural programming;
- Life skills;
- Wellness programming.
Some of these activities include:
- Summer camps;
- Cultural learning opportunities for youth;
- Intergenerational learning activities between Elders and youth; and
- Seasonal community events.
Recently, Brighter Futures Lax Kw’alaams has begun collaborating with other departments of the Lax Kw’alaams Band to deliver diverse programming and events.
