We’re excited to have a new program from Nichola Valley Institute of Technology that will be offered in Lax Kw’alaams!

Program Details:
• Prerequisites for Certificate:

​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ENGL 12
• Tentative Start Dates for Courses Offered:
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ MATH 057 and ENGL 060: Oct 24′
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Year 1 Classes: Nov 24′ to Aug 25′

This program is designed specifically for future educators. Both Year 1 and Year 2 will be offered in Lax Kw’alaams, to provide a community environment for the beginning of your educational journey.

Pathways After Year 2:

1. Pursue a Bachelor of Education for Elementary Teaching.
2. Continue with a Bachelor’s program focusing on a Major/Minor for High School Teaching, leading to a Bachelor of Education – High School.
   ​
   Please note: After Year 2 is complete in Lax Kw’alaams, students will then apply to a university and will move off-reserve to complete their education.
