Advisory to the Residents of Lax Kw’alaams COVID-19 Advisory #20

CORRIDOR NOW EXTENDED TO TERRACE

TERRACE BAND MEMBERS ALLOWED IN LAX KW’ALAAMS OVER THE HOLIDAYS

The Mayor and CAO were in discussions with Health Chair for Nisgaa on December 22, 2020.  There hasn’t been an increase in COVID 19 in Terrace and the Nass.  We are monitoring carefully to see whether further cases would be confirmed and will inform you of any advisory updates should COVID 19 cases increase in Prince Rupert, Terrace and the Nass.

The Mayor and CAO decided:

  1.  Current restrictions remain from Advisory 18
  2. The corridor is now extended to Terrace
  3. Band Members within the corridor are allowed into Lax Kw’alaams during the holidays.  This means that band members living in Terrace and Prince Rupert are allowed into Lax Kw’alaams over the holidays.

Members are encouraged to wear masks AT ALL TIMES.
